I finally have a pony!!

Molly's hair is finally long enough to put in a ponytail. Her little friend Kaiya calls it the "Pebbles" hairstyle. What a cutie!

Mischief Managed!

I am enjoying my moment on the couch watching Oprah when all of a sudden it is a little too quiet... the sound of peace can only mean one thing--someone is being mischievious. So I find her cramed in her new spot, behind the loveseat, demolishing the DVD cabinet.

I don't know if my child is just too smart for her own good, or if it is my lack of parenting at 11 months, but Molly has turned into a little spit-fire! She loves to shreik at a pitch only the dog can hear whenever she's mad, happy, or for no reason at all. She enjoys biting, pinching, and slapping anything and everything. Of course if a waitress or grandparent were to ask her what is the matter she would smile and melt their heart, but to everyday mom and dad she can be a monster. Thank goodness we have a dog she can boss around.

But then we have the moments that she looks up at us and smiles with pure joy and it makes it all worth it. Tell me, is this just a phase or am I in trouble for the next 18 years???

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter. We woke up and had a big dog breakfast with my brother, Tyler and his fiance Andrea. They were here to visit her family so they took off early that morning. After church we went to Blake's parent's house and had Easter dinner and an egg hunt for Molly. She looked so beautiful in her Easter dress! She is officially a little girl now and no longer a baby. Sad day for me! She started doing a new kind of smile where she keeps her mouth closed and squints her eyes. It makes us laugh. I don't have an Easter picture of her doing it but I'll catch one on camera soon.

Mobile??

Mobile??? Pun Intended. Molly has just started to walk, so I thought I'd put up this little video. She makes Blake and I laugh all the time!

Title: "Where's my Cell Phone?"

Houston.... we're one step closer to you!

Last weekend we went to Houston to visit my brother and friends. We got tickets to the rodeo to see Brad Paisley perform and had a ball! Molly stayed at our friend Scott and Ashley's house with their kids and enjoyed a nice (and crazy) evening with the babysitters. It was nice to get out and have fun as adults (it's been a while for Blake and I).

When we showed up Tyler (my brother) told us that someone gave him suite tickets while he was waiting for us outside. These tickets were $150 a pop and included dinner. Blake and I decided to check it out and boy was it a disaster! We showed up on the "eighth floor" feeling pretty important and were directed to our box seats. Someone met us at the door and served us complimentary drinks and introduced us to the Texas BBQ buffet. As we are shoveling food onto our plate a man greets us with a confused look and asked us who we are... "Are you Bill's kids?" "Bill's client?" Turns out the person who gave Tyler the tickets had a meeting with this man and ditched at the last second. Blake and I were standing in the company's box enjoying their food and drinks. Blake wanted to go along with it, but I bee-lined it to the door with my plate of BBQ. Here I am racing to the elevator with Blake left in the dust wondering where the heck his wife went. I was SOOOO embarrassed! We rejoined our party in the nose-bleeds and had a great rest of the evening.

We took Zoe with us and Tyler (Ashley and Scott's 3 year-old) locked himself in her crate. He even stole his mom's Diet Coke and brought it in with him... cutie

Backyard Fun

We took these pictures tonight at Grandma and Grandpop's house. Molly loves watching their dog run around the backyard. They have an Australian Shepherd, Sydney, and she was herding Molly around as she was crawling. She had a blast! The middle picture is of Molly saying, "Oooh!". She says it to get our attention or when she's entertained.

I think his tractor's SEXY!

We're finally moving dirt in Blanco... for those of you who don't know, Blake is building my parent's house in Blanco, TX. It is in between San Antonio and Austin. We go down to Blanco for the week and come back to Dallas on the weekends. Crazy life, I know but fun. My dad is retiring in June and will coming down with the crew when they sell their house. I'm so excited I can hardly wait! We had one good day of sunshine but then got rained out the next... I laid out on the blanket and got a tan while Molly played with her toys in the shade.
I think the tractor suits him. Blake was in heaven!

Walkin is CRAZY fun!

I think Molly is weeks from walking on her own... that means trouble for me! What happened to my cuddly newborn??

Irish Fest

On Saturday we went to Irish fest in Dallas with Blake's brother Ryan and his wife Sarah. We had a great time! Of course five minutes after we get there Molly had a poopy blow-out and ruined her outfit. Being the scatter-brained mother that I am I forgot an extra outfit and we had to buy one at the festival. Of course the only thing available was kilts. Thank goodness Molly has Irish blood so she fit right in!

Gotta love fair food! Check it out:

Everything in Texas is FRIED!!! Who would have thought to fry twinkies, but they've got 'em at the fair! They have a whole food booth devoted to them. I regret not trying them, but fair food is always an arm and a leg to buy. I'll stick with my fried pickles... I KNOW they're good!
