The joys of being a dad!

This morning I found the cat staring at the fireplace. She wouldn't move or even react to the sound of her kitty treats shaking in their container. She just sat there ready to pounce on anything that moved in the ashes. Anyone who knows Miss Jinks would understand why I didn't pay much attention to her behavior. It's not unusual to find the creature acting in peculiar ways. But I knew she was on to something when the chimney started rattling when Blake came home for lunch. It seems that we have a furry friend in the chimney. So I told Blake that it was his responsibility as the man of the house to rescue the poor thing. I went and grabbed the only box we had left in the house after cleaning out the garage: Pampers (go figure). Blake stuck it in the fireplace and released the hatch... nothing happened. The animal is refusing to accept our ticket to the free world. So for right now the box remains under the shute and we will wait. Stay tuned as our furry friend adventure continues...

haha, At first I thought you were going to say that Blake built a fire and smoked the animal out. Aaron makes me take care of animals in our house, he is a wuss.
