My Best Friend Today

Beware.... be very aware! The plague has returned and is in the Brady household! First it was Molly and even on her third day she has explosive diaper diarrhea. I was next waking up at 2 AM with naseau. The vommiting started this morning and I am praying that the night will be good to me.

To add to the fun I have a horrible mouth sore. A week ago I bit the inside of my lip while eating pasta and it has gotten infected. So not only am I vommitting, but aching from the pain of doing so on my sore. I'm a mess!

The worst part of it all is how bad I feel for Blake. The poor thing has been so amazing! He not only took care of Molly ALL day and let me sleep in bed but he cleaned the house and got me medicine. I think I have the greatest husband on earth!

So take this as a warning... it's coming, and it will get you if you are not cautious.

Growing up too fast!

Sometimes I look at my baby girl and just cry... she is growing up way too fast! But then there are other times when she still wants to be the baby and tries to fit in her baby doll stroller and infant bouncer. Now I know why couples have the second child--the first one grows up too fast. But as Blake and I were reminiscing of our first two months with colic Molly, I think we're just fine with one.

Peekaboo!

These are the pics that the photographer put on her blog. She is sending us the CD with all of the pictures, so I will go through them all and post my favorites. I love getting Molly's pictures done!

Supermarket Sweep!

Molly and I did our weekly grocery run today and Molly made sure she participated! Market Street has little buggies that kids can push around and fill up just like Mommy. This was a treat for Molly, but it only lasted five minutes. I didn't trust her buggy driving abilities when it came to the complex labyrinth that is the grocery store.

Fear of Flying

Do you have a fear of flying? I didn't until I had a one year-old.

The last call for boarding sounds and I'm shaking in my boots knowing that my child is wide awake with no intention of napping. My palms are sweaty as I grab Blake's hand and step onto the plane. Molly is smiling at everyone in their seats--she is drunk with power knowing that at any moment she can make their flight MISERABLE! We make our way to 16 D&E. As we set up our "station" (bottle, binkie, blankie, book, and toy crammed into the seat pocket in front of us) we notice a man looking at his ticket and eyeing the seat by the window. Yes, he is the unfortunate stranger who got the seat next to a toddler.

Twenty minutes into the flight Molly is starting to squirm and I begin sweating. She wants to walk around the cabin in her squeaky shoes. I am frantically searching for candy in my bag knowing that at any moment the screaming will begin. But something inside of Blake clicks and he remembers a secret weapon lodged in the computer bag. Call it inspiration, fate, destiny, but Blake pulls out his iPod. He turns it on an episode of South Park and Molly is mesmerized. I may be a terrible mother for letting my child watch South Park, but at flight 1735 out of Dallas was saved

"Don't Mind if I Do!"

Molly is OBSESSED with the fridge! Whenever I open the door, she zooms in and proceeds to take everything out of the side shelves. She lines them up on the floor and then puts them back. This could go on for hours, but I refuse to refrigerate the entire house!

If you can't tell, Molly has had another spill which has marked her already scratched up face. While chasing the dog around in the backyard, Molly fell on the concrete and scratched her nose. Combined with her crazy hair (she refuses to keep hair tie in) she looks like a tom boy.
